Use the Interior Route

After finding the Convinio building, enter through the main entrance and move toward the rear portion of the structure. You should find an elevator shaft on the left side.

Inside the shaft, look for a zipline that can take you upward. You can use this route to gain elevation quickly, although stairs and safety routes can also provide access to the upper floors.

Do not make the mistake of stopping at the open rooftop. The research location is on the floor immediately underneath it. Staying inside the building and checking the upper interior level is the easiest way to reach the correct room.

Search the Researcher's Flat

On the correct floor, look for a desk surrounded by multiple computer monitors. This workstation marks the Researcher's Flat and contains the information needed for the final objective.

Interact with the desk and search the Research Data. After the interaction is completed, the second stage should register, allowing you to finish “Paving the Way” without making another unnecessary trip.

The overall route is straightforward once the two objectives are separated. First, visit Dam Battlegrounds and interact with the Notice Board. Then, start a new raid in Buried City, travel to Piazza Roma, enter the Convinio building, and search the workstation beneath the rooftop.

Because both objectives take place in different locations, planning your equipment before each run can make the process smoother. Bring enough supplies for movement and unexpected encounters, but avoid filling your inventory with unnecessary items before the mission objectives are complete.
